मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के निर्देश पर जिलाधिकारी चम्पावत ने राजकीय प्राथमिक विद्यालय मौनकाण्डा के शौचालय की छत गिरने की घटना के मजिस्ट्रियल जांच के लिये एस.डी.एम पाटी को जांच अधिकारी नियुक्त किया है। जिलाधिकारी ने अपने आदेश में एस.डी.एम को निर्देश दिये हैं कि इस दुर्घटना के कारणों की तत्काल जांच पूर्ण कर 15 दिन में जांच आख्या उपलब्ध कराये। जिलाधिकारी चम्पावत ने बताया है कि मुख्यमंत्री के निर्देश पर मृतक छात्र के परिजनों को दो लाख रूपये की आर्थिक सहायता मुख्यमंत्री राहत कोष से दी जायेगी तथा घायल छात्रों के निशुल्क उपचार की व्यवस्था की गई है।
