शुक्रवार को मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने खटीमा में सीएसडी कैंटीन का शुभारम्भ किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने इस अवसर पर 12220.19 लाख की 52 योजनाओं का लोकार्पण एंव शिलान्यास किया। जिसमें 11425.43 लाख की 43 योजनाओं का शिलान्यास व 794.76 लाख की 9 योजनाओं का लोकार्पण किया।
मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कार्यक्रम को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि खटीमा क्षेत्र में कैंटीन के खुलने से पूर्व सैनिकों एवं सभी सैनिकों को आसानी से क्षेत्र में ही सामान उपलब्ध हो सकेगा तथा अन्य स्थानों के चक्कर नहीं काटने पड़ेंगे और लंबी लाइनों में भी नहीं लगना पड़ेगा।
उन्होंने कहा कि जो कभी सपना सा लगता है, वह सब पूर्ण होने जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि शीघ्र ही राज्य के पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में ट्रेन भी तोड़ेगी। सभी क्षेत्रों में राज्य का चहुमुखी विकास किया जा रहा है। राज्य अपने रजत जयंती के अवसर पर सभी क्षेत्रों में देश का उत्कृष्ट एवं आदर्श राज्य होगा। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने भी कहा है कि तीसरा दशक उत्तराखंड का होगा। इसके लिए सभी को एकजुट होकर प्रदेश को आदर्श एवं उत्कृष्ट राज्य बनाने में भूमिका निभानी होगी।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह ने कहा कि पिताजी से अनुशासन तथा समयबद्धता सीखी है। आलोचनाएं उन्हें शक्ति प्रदान करती हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि खटीमा में स्टेडियम हेतु 17 करोड़ की धनराशि स्वीकृत हो चुकी है, उन्होंने बताया कि बाईपास निर्माण हेतु 46 करोड़ की धनराशि भी स्वीकृत हो गई है, और केंद्रीय विद्यालय हेतु 8 एकड़ भूमि भी मिल गई है। उन्होंने बताया कि अस्पताल का उच्चीकरण करते हुए 100 बेड के स्थान पर 200 बेड का बना रहे हैं।
कार्यक्रम में विधायक नानकमत्ता प्रेम सिंह राणा, मेजर जनरल एस. खाती, कर्नल वीएम नैथानी, मंडी अध्यक्ष नंदन सिंह खड़ायत, मंडलायुक्त सुशील कुमार, सचिव एल फ़ैनई, डीआईजी नीलेश आनन्द भरणे, जिलाधिकारी रंजना राजगुरु, वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक दलीप सिंह कुंवर आदि उपस्थित रहे।
