मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से सफाई कर्मचारी आयोग के पूर्व अध्यक्ष भगवत प्रसाद मकवाना के नेतृत्व बड़ी संख्या में उत्तराखण्ड स्वच्छकार कर्मचारी संघ के प्रतिनिधियों ने भेंट की। उन्होंने सफाई कर्मचारियों के मानदेय में बढ़ोत्तरी के साथ ही कर्मचारियों की अन्य कई समस्याओं से मुख्यमंत्री को अवगत कराया।
इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने पर्यावरण मित्रों (सफाई कर्मचारियों) का मानदेय 500 रू. प्रतिदिन किये जाने, पर्यावरण मित्रों हेतु 02 लाख रूपये के बीमे की व्यवस्था किये जाने तथा पर्यावरण मित्रों का सफाई-धुलाई भत्ता बढ़ाये जाने की घोषणा की। मुख्यमंत्री ने शहरी विकास विभाग के ढ़ांचे (पर्यावरण मित्रों सहित) पुनरिक्षित किये जाने की भी घोषणा की।
इस संबंध में उपसचिव मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय द्वारा सचिव नगर विकास विभाग को आवश्यक कार्यवाही करने के निर्देश दे दिये गये हैं।
