मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मंगलवार को 73वें एन.सी.सी. स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर एन.सी.सी. निदेशालय घंघोड़ा में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में प्रतिभाग किया। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी का एनसीसी कैडेट्स द्वारा गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर देकर स्वागत किया गया। इस दौरान मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने 15 एन.सी.सी कैडेटों, 6 ऐ.एन.ओ , 4 पी आई स्टाफ (जे.सी.ओ,एन.सी.ओ ) एवं तीन सिविल स्टाफ को प्रमाण पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया।
मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि एनसीसी एक संगठन से ज्यादा एक मिशन है, जिसका उद्देश्य है देश की युवाशक्ति में अनुशासन, दृढ़ निश्चय निर्धारण और राष्ट्र के प्रति निष्ठा को मजबूत करना है। आज यह देख कर बेहद हर्ष की अनुभूति हो रही है कि एनसीसी अपने इन लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त कर रही है। एनसीसी देश के युवाओं को उनकी वास्तविक क्षमता का अनुभव करने और राष्ट्र निर्माण में योगदान का एक शानदार अनुभव प्रदान करता है। एनसीसी का एक गौरवपूर्ण इतिहास रहा है। सेनाओं से अलग भी, देश का शायद ही कोई ऐसा क्षेत्र हो जहां एनसीसी के बहादुर कैडेट्स ने अपनी प्रतिभा का परचम न लहराया हो।

एन.सी.सी. के अपर महानिदेशक मेजर जनरल पी०एस० दहिया ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड वीर सैनिकों का प्रदेश है। उत्तराखण्ड के लोगों का सेना में शामिल होना न केवल रोजगार है, इससे भी बढ़कर एक परंपरा है। एनसीसी संगठन भी उनकी वीरता और समर्पण से प्रेरित होते हैं।
