प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी चार दिसंबर को उत्तराखंड की राजधानी देहरादून का दौरा करेंगे और इस दौरान 18,000 करोड़ रुपये की लागत वाली विभिन्न परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और शिलान्यास करेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय (पीएमओ) ने बुधवार को यह जानकारी दी। पीएमओ ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के इस दौरे का मुख्य जोर सड़क अवसंरचना विकास की परियोजनाओं को सुदृढ़ करना है जिससे आवागमन सुगम और सुरक्षित हो सके तथा क्षेत्र में पर्यटन को बढ़ावा मिल सके।
देहरादून में आयोजित एक समारोह में प्रधानमंत्री दिल्ली-देहरादून आर्थिक गलियारा सहित 11 विकास परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखेंगे। यह गलियारा 8300 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से निर्मित होना है। पीएमओ ने कहा कि इस गलियारे के बन जाने के बाद दिल्ली से देहरादून जाने के समय में काफी कमी आएगी। आज दिल्ली से देहरादून जाने में यदि छह घंटे लगते हैं तो गलियारा बन जाने के बाद इसमें 2.5 घंटे लगेंगे।
