टिहरी से लोक सभा सांसद का मसूरी पहुंचने पर भाजपा मसूरी मंडल ने स्वागत किया। इस अवसर पर महारानी मालाराज्य लक्ष्मी शाह ने कार्यकर्ताओं से मुलाकात की। इस मौके पर उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार के माध्यम से बहुत कार्य जनहित में हर वर्ग के लिए पर्यटन, महिला सशक्तिकरण, शिक्षा आदि के किए जा रहे हैं वहीं प्रदेश सरकार भी कर रही है लेकिन दुर्गम क्षेत्र होने के कारण किए गये कार्य दिखाई कम देते हैं तथा कार्य पूरा होने में समय लगता है। वैसे मसूरी के विधायक गणेश जोशी लगातार विकास कर रहे हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि संसदीय क्षेत्र बड़ा होने के कारण उन्हें पूरे लोकसभा क्षेत्र का भ्रमण करना पड़ता है। उन्होंने मसूरी की समस्याओं पर भी कहा कि मसूरी में रेलवे की आउट एजेंसी क्यों बंद की गई इसका पता लगा कर इसे खुलवाने का प्रयास किया जायेगा। उन्होंने नेशनल हाई वे 707ए को चारधाम ऑल वेदर रोड से जोड़ने की मांग पर कहा कि इसके लिए संसद में भी मामला उठाया गया है और नैनबाग डामटा में भी यह मांग सामने आयी। वास्तव में यह याात्रा का पुराना मार्ग है इसे ऑल वेदर रोड से जोड़ने का प्रयास किया जायेगा। उन्होंने सड़कों की हालत खराब होने पर कहा कि रोडो की दशा सुधारने की बात बैठकों में भी की जाती है इसके लिए लोक निर्माण विभाग अधिक जिम्मेदार है जबकि सभी जगह सडकें बन रही हैं लेकिन इस क्षेत्र में परेशानी है इसका प्रयास किया जायेगा कि सड़कों की दशा सुधरे। उन्होंने मसूरी को रेल से जोड़ने पर कहा कि जब वह पहली बार सांसद बनी तब भी यह बात रेलवे मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु के सामने उठाई थी और यहां रेल का होना बहुत जरूरी है मेरा मामना है कि यहां पर टॉय ट्रेन की व्यवस्था होनी चाहिए। क्यों कि इससे पर्यटन को बढ़ावा मिलेगा जैसे अन्य राज्यों में हैं इसका प्रयास किया जायेगा कि मसूरी के लिए टॉय ट्रेन की योजना बने। उन्होंने मसूरी के विकास के बारे में कहा कि यहां के विकास की अनेक योजनाएं चल रही हैं। पानी की समस्या का निदान करने के लिए यमुना पेयजल योजना शुरू की जा रही है, सुरंग बनाये जाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है जिसका लाभ आने वाले समय में मसूरी को मिलेगा। मसूरी न आने पर उन्होंने कहा कि मेरा प्रयास रहता है कि मै मसूरी आंउ व दो दिन यहां रहूं लेकिन बड़ा लोकसभा क्षेत्र होने से समय नहीं निकाल पा रहे लेकिन वह खुद इस बात को स्वीकार करती हैं कि यहां पर आना नहीं हो पाया जबकि मसूरी से कई बार क्षेत्र में जाने के लिए आते हैं लेकिन रूक नहीं पाते वहीं यह भी कहा कि पार्टी का परिवार यहां पर है जो सहयोग कर रहा है व मिलकर कार्य कर रहे हैं व वह मसूरी जरूर आयेंगी।
