सोमवार को मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से मुख्यमंत्री आवास कार्यालय स्थित मुख्य सेवक सदन में हरिद्वार पंचायत चुनाव के विजयी प्रत्याशियों ने भेंट की। मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी को बधाई देते हुए क्षेत्र के विकास में सहयोगी बनने की अपेक्षा की। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र व राज्य सरकार की सभी योजनाओं का लाभ आम जनता तक पहुंचाने में हम सबको सहयोगी बनना होगा। हमें जनता की अपेक्षाओं पर भी खरा उतरने का प्रयास करना है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में देश प्रगति की ओर अग्रसर है। हमें बातें कम काम ज्यादा के मंत्र पर ध्यान देना हागा। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी का देश के प्रति प्रेम और देश के नागरिकों को अपना परिवार मानने की सोच के चलते उनकी लोकप्रियता आज पूरी दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा है। हम सब एक परिवार की तरह हैं तथा सभी को मिलकर प्रदेश को आगे बढ़ाने में मददगार बनना होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि ग्रामीण स्तर पर जन कल्याणकारी योजनाओं के क्रियान्वयन की भी जिम्मेदारी पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों की रहती है।
