पंजाब के पूर्व सीएम व पंजाब लोक कांग्रेस पार्टी के प्रमुख कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने दैनिक जागरण से बातचीत में बड़ा खुलासा किया है। कहा कि नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू को मंत्रिमंडल में लेने के लिए उनके पास पाकिस्तान से भी संदेश आया था।
पंजाब लोक कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने रविवार को रहस्योदघाटन किया कि 2017 में जब पार्टी भारी बहुमत से जीती थी तो नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू को मंत्री बनवाने के लिए पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान और उनके करीबियों ने जमकर लाबिंग की थी।
कैप्टन के अनुसार पाकिस्तान में रहते इमरान खान और नवजोत के बहुत करीबी दोस्त ने उन्हें फोन पर भेजे मैसेज में सिद्धू को मंत्री बनाने की लिखित में सिफारिश की थी। चूंकि मैं इमरान खान से न तो कभी मिला था और न ही व्यक्तिगत तौर उन्हें जानता था, इसलिए पंजाब में कांग्रेस की जीत के तुरंत बाद ऐसा संदेश देखकर मैं हैरान ही नहीं हुआ, बल्कि मुझे बड़ा झटका लगा कि एक व्यक्ति को राज्य का मंत्री पद दिलाने के लिए कैसे दूसरे देश का प्रधानमंत्री और उसके करीबी दबाव डाल रहे हैं।
कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने कहा कि मैंने इस मैसेज को तुरंत कांग्रेस पार्टी की अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी और प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा को भेजा। सोनिया का तो मुझे कोई जवाब नहीं आया लेकिन प्रियंका ने वापस लिखा, ‘बेवकूफ आदमी है जो इस तरह के मैसेज करवा रहा है।’ कैप्टन ने बताया कि मुझे भेजे गए उस मैसेज में यह भी सलाह दी गई कि उसे मंत्री बना लें और अगर वह कभी गड़बड़ करता है तो उसे कैबिनेट से भी बाहर कर दें।
कैप्टन ने कहा कि ऐसा मैसेज देखकर नवजोत सिद्धू के पाकिस्तान के प्रति प्रेम और देश की सुरक्षा को लेकर मेरी जो आशंकाएं रही हैं वह और मजबूत हो गईं। उन्होंने कहा कि 2017 में जिस दिन नवजोत सिद्धू की कांग्रेस में एंट्री को लेकर प्राथमिक स्तर पर मेरे और सोनिया गांधी के बीच चर्चा हुई थी तभी मेरा फीडबैक था कि सिद्धू मानसिक तौर पर स्थिर नहीं है। यह फीडबैक भी एक घटना के आधार पर था। दरअसल, जब सिद्धू भाजपा छोड़कर कांग्रेस में शामिल होना चाहते थे, तब मुझे सोनिया गांधी का फोन आया था कि आप नवजोत से मिलकर उसके बारे में मुझे एक बार फीडबैक दें। मेरा फोन पर पहला जवाब था कि ‘ही इज अ गुड ब्वाय एंड क्रिकेटर।’ (वह एक अच्छा लड़का और क्रिकेटर है)
बकौल कैप्टन, मैंने सिद्धू को फोन करके दिल्ली के इंपीरियल होटल में लंच का न्योता दिया। हम बंद कमरे में मिले, बैठक शुरू होते ही सिद्धू ने अपनी जेब से शिवलिंग निकालकर मेज पर रख दिया और कहा कि हर रोज छह घंटे मेडिटेशन करता हूं और तीन घंटे भगवान से सीधी-सीधी बात करता हूं। वह बोलता रहा और मैं सुनता रहा। फिर मैंने पूछा कि उसकी भगवान से किस तरह की बातें होती हैं तो उसका जवाब था कि बस कुछ इस तरह की.. जैसे, ..इस बार पंजाब में फसल कैसी होगी, बारिश कितनी होगी.. वगैरह, वगैरह। इसके तुरंत बाद मैंने सोनिया गांधी को फीडबैक भेज दिया कि यह लड़का मानसिक तौर पर कतई स्थिर नहीं है। पार्टी को बर्बाद कर देगा। उसके बाद जो हुआ और जो आज कांग्रेस में हो रहा है वह अब सबके सामने है।
