मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि वर्ष 2014 से अब तक प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में सरकार निरंतर देश का सर्वांगीण विकास और वंचितों को उनके अधिकार देने का कार्य कर रही है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में देश की ख्याति चारों ओर बढ़ी है और दुनिया भारत को एक महाशक्ति के रूप में देख रही है। गरीबों के उत्थान की बात हो, सीमाओं की सुरक्षा हो, विभिन्न देशों के साथ कूटनीतिक संबंध हों या आर्थिक मुद्दे हों, आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी ने हर क्षेत्र में अपनी दूरदर्शिता और कुशलता का लोहा मनवाया है। हमारी प्रदेश सरकार ने भी कुछ दिन पूर्व ही अपने कार्यकाल के एक वर्ष पूर्ण किए हैं। बीते एक वर्ष में मैं और मेरी सरकार तो केवल एक माध्यम मात्र रहे,इन एक वर्षों में उत्तराखंड के विकास की “विजय गाथा” स्वयं उत्तराखंड की जनता लिख रही है। इस एक वर्ष के दौरान, हमने हर क्षण यह प्रयास किया है कि प्रदेश के सामने जो भी चुनौतियां हैं उन सभी का समाधान निकाला जाए और राज्य को विकास की राह पर आगे बढ़ाया जाए। भले ही अपने इस मनोरथ में हम पूर्ण रूप से अभी सफल नहीं हुए हैं परंतु हमारा लक्ष्य स्पष्ट है, हमारी दिशा सही है, हमारी गति उचित है और हमारा मंतव्य विशुद्ध है। उत्तराखंड को विकसित राज्य बनाने का जो “विकल्प रहित संकल्प” लेकर हम चल रहे हैं उसके कुछ पड़ाव हमने पार कर लिए हैं और कई पड़ाव अभी पार करने हैं। किसी भी सरकार के मूल्यांकन के लिये एक वर्ष का समय बहुत कम होता है, फिर भी मैं पूरे विश्वास के साथ कह सकता हूं कि इस एक वर्ष में हमने नए उत्तराखण्ड निर्माण के संकल्प को ध्यान में रखते हुए दिन – रात कार्य करने का प्रयास किया है। अंत्योदय परिवारों को तीन गैस सिलेंडर देने हों, प्रदेश की महिलाओं के लिये क्षैतिज आरक्षण की व्यवस्था को लागू करना हो, समान नागरिक संहिता का मसौदा तैयार करना हो, जबरन धर्मांतरण पर रोक के लिये कानून बनाना हो, नई शिक्षा नीति लागू करना हो, नई खेल नीति लागू करना हो, सख्त नकल विरोधी कानून बनाना हो, राज्य आंदोलनकारियों व उनके आश्रितों को सरकारी नौकरियों में 10 प्रतिशत का क्षैतिज आरक्षण देना हो। हमने इन सभी कठिन परंतु राज्य के लिए आवश्यक कार्यों को इतने कम समय में कर के दिखाया है।
