राज्यपाल गुरमीत सिंह लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल (सेवानिवृत्त) भी कार्यक्रम स्थल पर पहुंचे। राष्ट्रगान के उपरांत राष्ट्रीय गीत बंदे मातरम का गायन किया गया। राज्यपाल परेड का निरीक्षण कर रहे हैं। उनके साथ डीजीपी दीपम सेठ भी मौजूद हैं।
कदम-कदम बढ़ाए जा गीत पर परेड आगे बढ़ती रही। आगे-आगे परेड कमांडर निहारिका तोमर पीछे अलग-अलग वाहिनियों में पीएसी, नागरिक पुलिस, 31वी वाहनी पीएसी, आरआरबी, ट्रैफिक, आतंक विरोधी दस्ता, घुड़सवार, पुलिस संचार, फायर ब्रिगेड, सीपीयू, डॉग स्क्वायड शामिल रहे।
डीजीपी दीपम सेठ ने सभी को रजत जयंंती की बधाई दी। कहा कि 25 सालों में उत्तराखंड पुलिस ने हर परिस्थिति में साहस का परिचय दिया है। उत्तराखंड पुलिस ने सुरक्षा सेवा व मित्रता को प्राथमिकता दी है। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्यपाल व मुख्यमंत्री के नेतृत्व में उत्तराखंड पुलिस लगातार तरक्की कर रही है।
