10वीं व 12वीं की बोर्ड परीक्षाओं में 90 प्रतिशत से अधिक प्राप्त करने वाले समस्त छात्र-छात्राएं छात्रवृत्ति के पात्र होंगे।
10वीं उत्तीर्ण करने वाले पात्रों को 1500 रुपये और 12वीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने वाले पात्रों को 2000 रुपये मासिक छात्रवृत्ति मिलेगी।

सचिवालय में अपर मुख्य सचिव वित्त आनंद बद्र्धन की अध्यक्षता में हुई बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री मेधावी छात्रवृत्ति योजना समेत चार महत्वपूर्ण योजनाओं को हरी झंडी दिखाई गई। वित्त की सहमति मिलने के बाद इन योजनाओं के क्रियान्वयन का रास्ता लगभग साफ हो गया है।

छठी कक्षा में 600 रुपये, सातवीं कक्षा में 700 रुपये, आठवीं कक्षा में 800 रुपये, नौवीं कक्षा में 900 रुपये और 10वीं कक्षा में 1000 रुपये मासिक छात्रवृत्ति मिलेगी।
यह तय किया गया कि छठी और आठवीं कक्षा में छात्रवृत्ति परीक्षा होगी।
इस परीक्षा की ब्लाकवार मेरिट बनेगी।
इस मेरिट के आधार पर 10 प्रतिशत मेधावियों का चयन कर उन्हें छात्रवृत्ति दी जाएगी।
