पर्यटन नगरी धनोल्टी में दो दिन से हो रही बर्फबारी के बाद पहाड़ों का मनमोहक नजारा देखने को मिल रहा है। पर्यटक भी बड़ी संख्या में बर्फबारी के पहले दिन से ही धनोल्टी व आसपास के क्षेत्रों में पहुंच कर बर्फबारी के लुफ्त ले रहें हैं।
लेकिन बर्फबारी की यह खूबसूरती स्थानीय निवासियों के लिए मुसीबत भी लेकर आई है। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि एक ओर जहां पूरे क्षेत्र में ठंड बढ़ गयी है वहीँ बर्फबारी के बाद से धनोल्टी क्षेत्र में बिजली व पेयजल की आपूर्ति ढंग से ना होने के कारण समस्या बढ़ गयी है। बिजली व पेयजल की समस्या को देख कर पर्यटक भी धनोल्टी से वापस लौट रहे हैं। बर्फबारी के चलते बड़े वाहनों को फिलहाल उक्त रास्ते से आने जाने नही दिया जा रहा है लेकिन छोटे वाहनों का आवागमन जारी है।
इस संबंध में होटल व्यवसायी यशपाल बेलवाल, सुरेश बेलवाल, सुरेश राणा, जगबीर, महिपाल कठैत, प्रधान धनौल्टी नीरज आदि कहना है कि एक फिट बर्फबारी हुई है जो यहां के किसानों के लिए अच्छी बताई जा रही है साथ ही पर्यटन का आवागमन भी शुरू हो गया है मगर विद्युत, पानी ना होने से पर्यटक परेशान हो रहे हैं। जिसका सीधा असर स्थानीय व्यवसाय पर पड़ रहा है।
