The ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi is preparing for the third possible wave of coronavirus infection at all levels. Work is going on continuously on this. Especially with regard to vaccination, the biggest weapon against coronavirus infection is being considered. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party government has written a letter to the central government to provide adequate doses of corona vaccine. In which the Delhi government has demanded at least 45 lakh vaccine doses for Delhi in July at the rate of 1.5 lakh per day. The Delhi government has said that more than 45 lakh doses will be required if the speed of vaccination increases. The government has said that it is our endeavor that soon we can bring herd immunity in Delhi by touching the figure of 70 percent vaccination.
In Delhi, more than 25 percent of the youth have been vaccinated. 50% of the population in the above 45 years age category has already been vaccinated. So far 73,29,652 people have been given vaccine doses in Delhi. Out of which more than 56 lakh people have got the first and more than 17 lakh people have taken both doses.
Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and MLA Atishi released the vaccination bulletin on Sunday. He said that a total of 7.06 lakh vaccine doses are currently available in Delhi. Out of this, 5.40 lakh Covishield and more than 1.5 lakh Covaccine doses are available. Now three days stock is available in Delhi at the rate of two lakh vaccines per day. The central government should provide at least 45 lakh vaccine doses in July at the rate of 1.5 lakh per day.
